We are a world class research-intensive university. We deliver teaching and learning of the highest quality. We play a leading role in economic, social and cultural development of the North East of England. Attracting and retaining high-calibre people is fundamental to our continued success.
The School of Engineering at Newcastle University seeks to appoint an outstanding candidate to the position of Professor of Digital Construction Management. This is an exciting opportunity to join the School of Engineering, one of the leading Engineering Schools in the UK.
Engineering at Newcastle is truly pushing the boundaries of fundamental and applied civil and geospatial engineering into new and exciting applications such as sustainability, climate change and geohazards, water supply and treatment, the future of mobility, waste management and pollution, geotechnics and structures, and energy and infrastructure resilience. The Professor of Digital Construction Management would complement existing strengths and provide the breadth of expertise and leadership required to further establish Newcastle as a major centre for civil and geospatial engineering research.
Based within the Discipline of Civil and Geospatial Engineering, but with an interdisciplinary and cross-faculty ambition, the appointee will advance the digital transformation of this discipline in the areas of construction, design, project planning, and modelling through: academic research, teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and delivering impact by engaging with industry and society.
