Professional Services Accountancy Assistant – Finance, Planning and Analytics Department
The University is seeking to appoint a highly competent Accountancy Assistant to join its Professional Services team in the Finance, Planning and Analytics Department. This dynamic team is responsible for a providing financial advice and guidance to Heads of Department, and other key staff within Professional Services, to support strategic and operational decision making. We also carry out a range of professional accountancy tasks including planning, forecasting, management accounting and monitoring of budgets. The post will give you the opportunity to be involved in a wide mix of many exciting and developing areas of the University and to support Management Accountants with their work.

The Finance Department employs approximately 180 staff. We currently have a blended approach of working between home and the office (Highfield Campus).
The successful candidate should be well organised, analytical and self-motivated, with excellent communication skills, a working knowledge of Excel, and some accounting knowledge. An interest in pursuing a financial qualification is desirable, support for which is available on a competitive basis. You will use the University accounting systems for which training will be provided.
