We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual who will be involved in the delivery of pre and post registration nurse education as a member of the teaching team. This is an opportunity for candidates who wish to further their career in education or move into a higher education teaching role. We are seeking innovative, creative and high-quality individuals who are keen to contribute to the education of the future health and social care workforce.

The post is based at the University Centre Birkenhead although there is some expectation of travel between sites. The Faculty has four education centres, based at University Centre Shrewsbury; University Centre Warrington; University Centre Birkenhead and Wheeler Building, Chester

We are looking for a candidate who is a registered adult nurse and who holds a relevant first and higher degree (or willingness to complete a higher degree). You should have clinical nursing skills and experience of delivering clinical education to students either in a higher education or practice setting. Previous experience of teaching and curriculum development in higher education is desirable. A secondment or job share would be considered for this post.

The successful candidate should have or be willing to work towards PGCE and or HEA membership. The successful applicant will have knowledge of current professional and academic requirements of higher education nursing programmes and will contribute to the academic and research development of the Faculty.
