A rare opportunity is now available for an experienced person to join the Estate Maintenance Team as an Electrical Supervisor. This is a key supervisory role which requires excellent communication, planning and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for all aspects of electrical maintenance across BU campuses from basic repairs to refurbishment works, upgrades and new work within prestigious University buildings. A highly flexible proactive attitude is essential to meet the demands of the University environment.
The post holder will be a fully qualified electrician with previous supervisory experience in a construction or maintenance environment with an excellent attitude and knowledge toward H&S and environmental legislation.
Working with a management information system, the post holder will be expected to plan and utilise their team of five electricians and manage contractors working under your instruction to meet all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
This post is 37 hours per week and is based on alternative weekly shifts, you will be responsible for managing shifts and all members of the maintenance team as required. Shifts are as follows and attract a 10% allowance on top of the salary.
Monday to Thursday 07:30 – 16:00hrs
Friday 07:30 – 15:30hrs
Monday to Thursday 09:30 – 18:00hrs
Friday 09:30 – 17:30hrs
