This post represents an exciting opportunity to join the Social Work team based within the School of Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
You will be expected to make a significant contribution to the University’s education and scholarship in Social Work. You will undertake module leadership as part of the BA and MA programmes in Social Work and undertake teaching and administrative duties efficiently and effectively within the guidelines operated by the School. You will contribute to the ongoing development of the BA/MA Social Work programmes and be an active member of the Social Work Team. You will support other programmes in the School; developing new and maintaining current relationships in the wider University, and with Partners and External Stakeholders.
You will develop regionally, nationally, and internationally recognised scholarship activity over time. Initially the role will be structured to enable development of scholarship activity within the educational role. Over time, there is an expectation that scholarship activity will develop and expand, aligning to and complementing existing areas of higher education scholarship within the School.
You will possess or be working towards a post-graduate qualification in: Social Work or Health or Social Policy/Science or teaching and will have a relevant Social Work qualification at level 6, and current registration with the SWE with a clear record to practice Social Work. You will have experience of developing, leading and teaching Social Work modules at undergraduate in HEI.
