About the Role:
As part of this exciting project, we are now seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Social Work. We are interested in candidates with experience of undergraduate and post-graduate and work-based learning, and degree apprenticeship delivery.

As a Registered Social Worker with a Degree and Higher Degree or relevant professional qualification, the post holder will play a vital role in the development and delivery of practice based social work courses and CPD. You will develop relationships with partners, stakeholders and service users and use these to support curriculum development.

As these are vocational programmes, contemporary experience of social work practice and current Social Work England registration is required. Backgrounds in all areas of social work will be considered, but to complement the existing team skillset we would be particularly interested in candidates with experience of statutory social work, and/or experience of practice education and supporting students on placements or post qualifying social workers.

Informal enquiries can be made to Irina Morosanu, irina.morosanu@aru.ac.uk.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of our staff and students and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants should be aware that ARU will carry out online searches as part of the due diligence on short listed candidates.

We value diversity at ARU and welcome applications from all sections of the community.

In accordance with Home Office guidance and the Asylum, Immigration and Nationality Act 2006, ARU has a responsibility to ensure that all employees are eligible to work in the UK and in the role for which they have been recruited. Prior to their start date, the successful candidate will be asked to provide evidence of their right to work in the UK.

For candidates who do not currently have the right to work in the UK, ARU is a UKVI-licensed sponsor and may be able to provide sponsorship for eligible candidates appointed to skilled roles, subject to meeting the relevant immigration requirements. Eligibility for sponsorship will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Further information about UK immigration requirements and working in the UK can be found on the Home Office website.

Committed to being inclusive and open to discuss flexible working.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy once we have received sufficient applications.
