About you:

The School of Health and Social Wellbeing is seeking a suitably experienced Sport Physiotherapist or Graduate Sport Rehabilitator who can demonstrate a range of experience within the field. A strong understanding of assessment and management strategies, clinical reasoning, application to practice and contemporary injury management and rehabilitation within sport is essential. An ability to demonstrate previous university and/or practice based educational experience is also required.

You will have sound experience in a range of sport rehabilitation practices as well as experience of working within an interdisciplinary team. Additionally, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills plus a commitment to close team working. A Master’s degree in a relevant area is essential.

You will need to be registered with the HCPC as a Physiotherapist or BASRAT as a Graduate Sport Rehabilitator (or equivalent).

About us:

Sport Rehabilitation at UWE Bristol is located in the interdisciplinary School of Health and Social Wellbeing. We run a full time BASRAT accredited BSc (Hons) Sport Rehabilitation, a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy and a range of related postgraduate and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes, including a MSc in Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities of this post will focus on all aspects of Sport Rehabilitation primarily within the BSc (Hons) Sport Rehabilitation programme. It will include teaching and assessing, module leadership, an academic and personal tutor role, research support for undergraduate students, practice placement supervision, and being part of the Sport Rehabilitation team in curriculum development and quality monitoring. There will be some relevant input to the Physiotherapy programme as well.
