The Harper & Keele Veterinary School are seeking to appoint one Laboratory based teaching assistant with a specialist interest in veterinary clinical skills. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development and provision of a high-quality learning experience for students within the Harper & Keele Vet School. The post holder will work closely with the academic team, supporting the delivery of practical teaching sessions, primarily in the areas of clinical skills.

The joint veterinary school provides students with the opportunity to take advantage of both institutions with a common commitment to excellence and complementary skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of clinical skills and laboratory practical sessions, including set up, demonstration and clean down of a wide range of practical’s, ordering, organisation and maintenance of consumables, equipment and teaching models. The role holder will provide high standards of care and welfare to staff pets that participate in practical sessions. They will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining a safe working environment within the laboratories and teaching spaces, ensuring that the environment meets Health and Safety requirements and that all procedures are carried out in compliance with their associated regulations.
The role will be primarily based at Harper Adams but occasional travel between campuses will be required.
