The University is undergoing a programme of digital transformation. Following the successful implementation of a new student record system (SITS) the University is currently working to deliver improved reporting and management information. In order to maximise the impact of these investments it is important to ensure that the data held in University systems is of the highest quality. This newly created post will work with the Data Quality Manager to drive the necessary improvements across the University.

Job Details

An enthusiastic, highly motivated individual is required to drive improvements to data quality across the University. You will support the Data Quality Manager in the creation and implementation of processes which will improve data quality across the University and enable more effective use of the data held by the University. You will work proactively with colleagues across the University to ensure that data quality issues are highlighted and resolved by the relevant departments.

Duties will include:

  • Liaising with colleagues across the University to ensure that there is coordinated and efficient approach to monitoring progress against actions in relation to data quality.
  • Tracking resolution of actions agreed to resolve data quality issues and provide regular reports to data owners on status of actions and progress made.
  • Maintaining and update the agreed data quality improvement plans to ensure that progress is monitored.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for the reporting of data quality issues and assist in the collation and appropriate review and escalation of these.
  • Working with the Data Quality Manager to create reports and dashboards to inform senior managers about data quality performance and data issues.
