Full Time - 40 hours per week

Fixed Term Maternity Cover until April 2022 or until the return of the post holder, whichever is sooner 

Working shift pattern  - 5 out of 7 days. 2-week rota provided

The Catering Supervisor will be working in one of our 5 Catering Outlets operated by the University of Northampton, Sunley Hotel and Food Delivery Service. The primary responsibilities include supervising the front of house team, ensuring customer satisfaction, keeping serving stations fresh and presentable, serving students, staff and visitors. Cash handling, statutory paperwork completion, doing rotas, cleaning checklists and paperwork are also an important part of this job. This also includes working in other outlets as and when required for example Sunley Hotel. Working alongside the Front of House Manager and Head Chef in providing food delivery to students and staff on Waterside Campus.

Shifts will vary, as per business requirements but 2 weekly rotas will be provided.

Catering Shifts can be between 7am and 10.30pm.

About you 

  • Proven supervisory skills in a Higher Education, public or hospitality sector
  • Ability to lead and communicate with a team effectively
  • Good oral and written communication skills

Qualifications 

Essential

  • A Levels or equivalent 

Desirable

  • Food Safety/Customer Service qualification
