The Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP) is a department within UCL and part of The Bartlett faculty, known internationally for its radical thinking about space, design and sustainability. The work of the UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP) is influencing global policy decisions and creating new policy collaborations to deliver public value-driven innovations.

The Institute is seeking two Research Fellows in Economics, with a focus on green transition and/or economics of place. Both Research Fellows will be working in the context of IIPP Studio with specific practice-based projects helping public organisations (such as innovation agencies or city governments) design and implement policy changes. This appointment is available until the 31st of July 2025 in the first instance.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Economics or will be working towards obtaining one, and will have research experience on green transitions and/or economics of place.
