We are seeking a highly-motivated Postdoctoral Scientist to help to lead the application of single cell genomics within the Chinese Academy of Sciences Oxford Institute, at the Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics.

You will be responsible for undertaking laboratory work using single cell genomics, and run droplet-based microfluidics methods for single-cell RNA-seq and ATAC-seq. You will reliably implement a range of molecular biology tasks, according to standard protocols, including complex workflows manually and/or with the assistance of automation, and undertake bioinformatic analysis of data arising from single cell genomics and related -omic profiling. You will plan and monitor project deadlines, multi-task and prioritise your own workload, therefore the ability to organise and prioritise work efficiently delivering results to required standard and to an agreed schedule is essential.

It is essential that you hold a PhD (or close to completion) in genetics, bioinformatics, molecular biology or a related field, and have a demonstrable interest in the research described. You will have experience of functional genomic analysis and single cell genomics platforms, and have analytical and quantitative skills with a proven ability to think critically about scientific analysis in order to ensure robust results. It is essential that you have demonstrable high level of communication skills, both written and oral, and have a strong publication record, including substantive peer reviewed journals.
