Rose Bruford College is a leading university-sector institution, specialising in vocational degree courses in theatre and performance.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Subject Leader or Lecturer (depending on experience) to teach primarily on our unique Creative Lighting Control BA honours degree, which covers all aspects of lighting technology, including lighting programming, lighting systems, control systems, lighting management, and video systems, operation and design for theatre, live events, media and the entertainment industries.
We are looking for an individual to lead the teaching and learning of lighting technology in this vibrant and fast-developing field of study. As the successful candidate for the post you are likely to have substantial relevant experience, through your professional work or through teaching in Further or Higher Education, in two or more of:
You will teach specific modules and groups of students, and contribute to the on-going management and development of lighting technology as a subject area within the College. You will use your knowledge and experience to prepare the next generation of practitioners.
We are seeking to appoint at either 0.8 (four days a week) or 1.0 (five days). The salary for Subject Leaders is £41,081 rising to £51,482 (pro rata, inclusive of Outer London Weighting Allowance) via annual increments. For lecturers the salary is £35,726 rising to £41,081, pro rata. We offer 35 days’ holiday per annum plus Bank Holidays, an attractive pension scheme and access to our staff development programme.
