WMG is a vibrant, cutting-edge research institution at the University of Warwick. They currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join their Intelligent Vehicles Research Group working in a High Value Manufacturing Catapult (HVMC) supported project. We are passionate to support UK’s industry in developing manufacturing supply chains for smart, connected and automated vehicle technologies.
The role will involve working with the WMG Chief Engineer in creating a roadmap for sensor manufacturing supply chains including opportunities linked with sustainability. The successful candidate will engage directly with key stakeholders, companies, industry networks and other Catapult Centres to develop the supply chain map. Based on this, they will create proposals on how the HVMC will enable the creation of manufacturing supply chain in the UK. They will actively participate in the development of collaborative project funding proposals to create new capabilities for the department and the HVMC going forward.
You will need to have a good honours degree in a relevant discipline, along with an excellent understanding of technologies/experience in the field of one or more of the following: Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Technology Supply Chains. You will be a self-starter, who takes initiative, is well-structured, well-organised and driven to deliver projects with confidence. You will be confident in communicating with people at many levels and to develop high quality written and presentation material.
