Bangor University is a long-established university with an international reputation for the quality of its teaching and research. A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cloud Services Specialist to work in the Digital Services directorate. As part of the DevOps team within the wider Corporate Applications division you will help to evolve the University’s in-house applications and integrations to make better use of cloud services as well as develop new solutions. The post is permanent and full-time.

The successful candidate will have a postgraduate degree in a related subject or relevant equivalent experience. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience of working with either Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services components, within a DevOps environment, as part of in-house applications or integrations. You’ll be a problem solver by nature with a good broad set of developer skills gained from providing real-world software solutions. You will have a broad set of skills covering both application development and application hosting.

The University operates a dynamic approach to home or office-based working to be agreed between the parties. You are expected to be based within the UK even is working remotely.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.
