At Oxford Brookes University, we take immense pride in the outstanding experience we offer our staff. You’ll become part of a welcoming, professional community where every individual is valued and recognised as integral to our collective success.
As a modern, forward-thinking institution, we are deeply rooted in a city renowned for its rich cultural and academic heritage. Oxford Brookes is globally recognised for its commitment to high-quality teaching, impactful research, and delivering an exceptional student experience. Our vision is clear: to shape tomorrow through a unique blend of the modern and the traditional, by embracing diversity, seeking innovation, and excelling in education and research.
About the Role
As a ServiceNow Lead Developer, you will play a pivotal role at an exciting time of expansion within Oxford Brookes University’s Information Technology Services (ITS) Directorate. Working in close partnership with our ServiceNow Solutions Architect and ServiceNow Product Manager, you will lead the design, development, configuration and support of robust technical solutions on our growing ServiceNow platform. Your work will directly empower faculties and directorates across the university. Core responsibilities span platform administration, core architecture maintenance, custom application development and early-life technical support.
This is a full time, 2-year fixed term role.
About You
You are an engaged, solution focused ServiceNow professional who combines technical capability with a genuine passion for delivering value. Holding a ServiceNow System Administrator certification alongside a university degree (or equivalent experience), you bring hands-on expertise across the full software development lifecycle and a thorough understanding of the platform.
With sharp analytical problem solving skills and a clear communication style, you excel at translating requirements from non technical stakeholders into high performing solutions. Your customer orientated approach and collaborative mindset will enable you to thrive as you drive platform growth and elevate our enterprise IT services.
Working Arrangements
We support hybrid working. While our team is based at the Headington Campus in Oxford, we are happy to explore flexible arrangements that balance remote work with time spent on campus to foster team engagement and collaboration. There is an expectation to be on campus at least one day per week, however you are expected to be flexible to suit business needs.
Benefits
As one of the largest employers in Oxford, we pride ourselves on the great experience we offer our staff.
