Established in 1828, the University of Central Lancashire is a leading modern University located in the city of Preston. The School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences is part of the Faculty of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences, which also includes Medicine and Dentistry. The School offers several undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare related degrees including the Master of Pharmacy and accredited BSc Biomedical Sciences. The School offers a friendly and supportive learning environment with state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities.

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Clinical Genetics who will contribute to the areas of course delivery, course management and course development in Biomedical Science at UCLan. The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary team and make a significant contribution to the leadership of teaching, learning, assessment, research and income generation.

The motivated and enthusiastic applicant will hold a PhD in a Biomedical Sciences or related area and have experience of teaching Biomedical Science in higher education. The successful applicant will be expected to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate level teaching in the areas of clinical genetics.

Excellent communication skills, involvement in delivery and co-ordinating teaching, a strong record of academic leadership and the ability to work in a team are essential for this position.
