We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer (Teaching and Scholarship) to work in our ambitious and thriving Department which has undergone considerable expansion in recent years. Candidates will have a background in digital media and culture, with teaching and research specialisms in film and screen studies, visual studies and/or cultural studies.
The intention is to contribute to our teaching and research trajectory whilst ensuring we have the best possible profile for public engagement. Candidates will have a record of publications with potential to develop funding activity and impact/knowledge exchange contribution, congruent with that of colleagues within the Department and the wider School of the Arts.
The successful applicant will undertake teaching, administration and research activities in the Department of Communication and Media, with a focus on digital media and culture. The post will support teaching in film and screen studies, visual studies, and cultural studies, and involvement in individual and team teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Preference will be given to applicants with whose expertise contributes to the Screen and Film Studies and/or Culture, Space and Memory research groups which bring together ground-breaking work in visual studies and culture.
We are looking to appoint the most appropriate candidate at Grade 7, according to experience, ability and interview performance. The position is a fixed term appointment to cover for a staff member who has been awarded an AHRC Fellowship.
