The Department for Health is seeking to appoint a fixed-term (maternity cover) Lecturer (Teaching) in Sport Biomechanics to contribute to the undergraduate BSc/MSci Sport & Exercise Science programme and postgraduate MSc Sport and Exercise Medicine and Sports Physiotherapy programmes.  These courses attract bright and dynamic students through our strong reputation in sports-related research that informs our teaching, and the opportunity to study at a university renowned for promoting and facilitating sporting excellence; the University was named Sports University of the Year in 2018 and we are currently ranked joint 7th in the 2021 QS World Rankings for Sport-related subjects.

The successful applicant will join a team of lecturers delivering a suite of units across the programmes and will be expected to lead in teaching and supervision related to sport biomechanics. Successful applicants may be asked to take on other roles in teaching support such as personal tutoring, dissertation supervision, course development and other administrative activities as they arise.   

This is a fixed term, 1.0 FTE position of 12-month’s duration to provide maternity cover with a proposed start date of 3rd January 2022. For more information about the Department and programmes please go to: http://www.bath.ac.uk/health/
