We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join a dynamic, forward-thinking specialist IT team in a small and friendly Oxford college.
The IT Manager is based in St Antony’s College on Woodstock Road, Oxford, and forms part of a specialist ‘North Oxford Shared College Services’ team (abbreviated to ‘NOSCS’), reporting to the NOSCS Head of IT. NOSCS supports three other Oxford colleges in addition to St Antony’s, and the successful candidate will benefit from the opportunity to work closely with other IT while maintaining a large degree of autonomy as the IT Manager in the College.
If successful, you will ensure that St Antony’s College’s IT infrastructure and its front-line services and procedures meet the needs of its community, as well as managing the delivery and implementation of all the College’s IT-related policies. As part of NOSCS, you will contribute directly to an improved range and depth of IT support services for all four Oxford colleges in the consortium. The IT Managers in each college are supported to develop their skills and careers in certain specialist areas, and will work on relevant projects to develop these. For this post, we are seeking someone with strong skills in server management.
You will have experience of managing and developing a wide range of IT services (both front and back of house operations), with associated responsibilities for resources and budgets, and some experience of managing staff. You will also have skills, experience and a developing interest in server management, as well as the flexibility and interpersonal skills to work effectively and collaboratively with a wide range of people in a small College environment.
