The University of West London (UWL) has climbed an impressive 23 places to become one of the top 40 universities in the UK according to the influential Guardian University Guide 2021.
UWL is now ranked 34th in the UK – our highest position of any league table ever! We were also the top university in England for teaching satisfaction and the ranking reaffirms our position as the top modern university in London.
UWL has been named University of the Year for Student Experience in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021. The editor of the Guide has described UWL as “regularly among the top-performing universities’ and that we have ‘proved it is possible for a London-based institution to achieve outstanding levels of student satisfaction beyond other universities”.
This role will be based in the Research and Enterprise Operations Department, which is responsible for supporting the growth of research, knowledge exchange and commercial activity of the University.
The key focus of this role is providing a high level of support to a range of academic colleagues across the University and our key external partners to ensure our research relationships work well. The post holder will support and develop UWL’s research staff, their research activity and assist in growing the volume and quality of UWL’s research and its impact.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is extremely well organised and has a good eye for a developing new opportunity and ensuring they are successfully delivered. We are seeking someone who is highly effective and innovative to support the diverse work we do, both with a range of externals and internal organisations. The ideal candidate will be able to both support bidding for research funds and support post-award coordination and delivery.
This post would be ideal for a Post-Doctoral candidate seeking a career in research support.
