Student and Academic Services (SAS) is a large and diverse service that supports staff and students across the academic life cycle. As a member of the SAS senior team, the Head of Student Administration and Advice supports the Deputy Director in this area in leading these services and contributing to service-wide strategic planning, fostering a collaborative working environment that continues to enhance Service performance.
About you: You are an experienced professional services manager with a track record of leading specialist teams to provide high quality, agile, customer-focused services. You are experienced in leading or managing scheduling activities such as timetables and assessments.
Energetic and resilient, you enjoy working at pace and are comfortable with complexity and uncertainty. You have excellent communication and influencing skills and establish credibility quickly with staff at all levels. You are passionate about higher education and inspire your teams individually and collectively to deliver the best possible support for students.
This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus.

This is a full/part-time, fixed-term post for 2 years, working 37 hours per week
This post is will be considered on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time.
The University will be implementing a hybrid way of working once restrictions from Covid 19 end therefore you will be expected to work on campus for part of your working week. Exact days will be agreed with your line manager.
The University’s normal practice is that new appointments will be made at the starting point of the grade.
