The School of Computing Sciences is looking to appoint an Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer) in Computing Science who will be involved in research and development and delivery of course modules, in particular, on our range of MSc in programmes across Data Science, Computing Science and Cyber Security courses.
Applicants should have a PhD (or equivalent qualification) in Computing Sciences or a closely related discipline and be able to fulfil all essential criteria in the person specification. They must also have previous teaching and module management experience in higher education (ideally in the UK).
Appointees will be expected to have an excellent recent track record of attracting research funding from government or industry in areas linked to Computing Science or related domains and will also have a strong portfolio of recent research publications in prestigious international journals (e.g. IEEE/ACM). It is also desirable the successful applicant has an extensive network of national and international collaborators from academia, government and industry.
This post is available immediately on a full-time basis, for a fixed term period of 3 years. There may be potential to extend beyond 3 years, subject to performance and budgets.
