Buxton and Leek College was recently graded as a "Good" college by OFSTED and has a team of dedicated staff who take pride in supporting learners towards their study and career goals. Our students have access to industry standard facilities, comprehensive support services and benefit from extensive links with the University of Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our small and friendly team on our journey to becoming an outstanding provider and to help shape our exciting future curriculum.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to teach on our T Level Early Years pathway plus a range of Education programmes which could include adult/online/blended provision at levels 1-5. You should be qualified to level 5 or above in an Education/Early Years related field and be able to teach a diverse range of topics.
Whilst this will primarily be classroom based, we also require you to have the digital skills to deliver effective lessons using a range of online resources and platforms (for example Microsoft teams or Blackboard). You will need to be adaptable, creative and resourceful in the face of the current challenges in education. You will be confident in collaborating with and supporting our Industry Placement employers and will be highly organised and flexible in their approach.
Experience of teaching in an FE environment would be desirable, however, consideration will be given to industry professionals with significant industry experience in an Early Years setting, who have good communication skills and are looking to pursue a career in teaching. A financial contribution towards a Cert Ed/PGCE will be available to the right candidate.
Please note, unfortunately due to the SOC level and salary associated with this post we would be unable to sponsor any applicants requiring a skilled worker visa. For further information, please visit the following link: https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general.
If you wish to discuss your individual Visa arrangements in relation to this role, please contact us at HRUKVI@derby.ac.uk.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expect everyone who works for us to also share this commitment and to treat people with courtesy and respect.
