The Faculty of Life Sciences and Education is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer (part-time, 4 days per week) to join the School of Psychology and Therapeutic Studies. The successful applicant will teach primarily at postgraduate level with some support being provided at undergraduate level, and will: Contribute to the teaching of counselling and psychotherapy theory, skills, and reflective practice.

This job opportunity may suit you if you are an experienced curriculum leader/developer, academic and practitioner with current knowledge of, and commitment to the subject area and professional sector. You will be professionally registered and/or accredited by the BACP or equivalent counselling or psychotherapy professional body. Experience of teaching in Higher Education is preferred. Interest in developing a research profile is a strong advantage.
The course is based at our light and modern Newport City Centre Campus, which has excellent public transport links. Students benefit from placements in our in-house counselling services and a purposebuilt counselling clinic, as well as a strong range of placement partners and agencies across Wales and beyond.
This is a part time (0.8 FTE, four days per week), permanent post. This position is based at the Newport Campus of the University of South Wales.
