This is an exciting opportunity to join our Integrated Medical Sciences team, at Keele’s School of Medicine, who are highly dedicated and committed to delivering cutting-edge professional education in partnership with medical students and our clinical colleagues. The Medical Sciences team has a range of skills and knowledge in research and education. This post provides excellent opportunities for collaboration and inter-professional learning and working. The School of Medicine is proactive and responsive, working collaboratively with educational and research stakeholders building upon its existing excellent undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and world–class research.

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Sociology of Health who will primarily contribute to the delivery of Social Science teaching and other teaching activities in the School of Medicine. The Lecturer will also develop a programme of research aligned with our Faculty Research Themes. Teaching delivery will focus across our Medicine, Physician Associate and Paramedic Science programmes using appropriate teaching, learning support and assessment methods. The role holder will also be expected to have significant achievement in social science research and will have the potential to develop and/or contribute to an internationally competitive programme of independent research.
