WORKING HOURS:  35 hours per week, open to flexible working.     

LOCATION: London.  We are currently working remotely, but we plan to return to office from 1st February, depending on the external situation.  Staff will have the option of working from home a couple of days a week. 

The National Institute of Economic and Social Research is Britain’s oldest, and one of its most prestigious independent research institutes. We have partnerships with a range of national organisations, including government departments, central banks, charitable foundations and leading academic institutions; working with them to provide accurate, authoritative analysis of current issues to shape the policy agenda.

We are now seeking a Partnership Development Manager to join our External Affairs team. You will manage current partnerships, as well as look to develop new ones in line with the strategic and financial objectives of NIESR.  With line management responsibility for an Events Assistant, you will be an integral part of the External Affairs team and key in ensuring that we achieve both our income and wider charitable objectives.  The role is based at our

The essential requirements we are looking for in the successful candidate are:

Experience

  1. Experience in a partnership development role in either the private, public or third sector
  2. Prior experience of working with a CRM system
  3. Experience managing budgets
  4. Experience of working independently, and as part of a team, to achieve specific outcomes
  5. Experience of managing multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities 

  1. Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to persuade
  2. Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to liaise with a wide range of key stakeholders across all levels
  3. Strong critical thinking with the ability to process and challenge new information
  4. Excellent MS Office skills
  5. Keen attention to detail and a methodical approach to record keeping and reporting
