Fixed Term: The post is available from 4 January 2022, or as soon as possible thereafter, and is available for one year in the first instance, with ongoing annual renewal subject to funding.
The Centre Administrator assists the Directors with the day to day running of the Centre, administers the budget – ensures that all payments on the project are processed and correct, and that the fund is not overspent. The Centre Administrator also arranges the course and exam timetables and does all exam administration. The LTCC exams are administrated independently from UCL. The Centre Administrator has a key role in liaising with partner universities including lecturers, graduate students, staff of the Department of Mathematics, to ensure the smooth running of the Centre. The Administrator is also responsible for maintaining the Centre’s website, taking minutes of Centre meetings, and all general administrative duties.
The LTCC courses are taught either at De Morgan House, London Mathematical Society, Russell Square, or at UCL. During LTCC term time (October – March), the administrator will be required to work each Monday from 10am until 6pm, to ensure the smooth running of courses. Remaining hours will be agreed with the successful applicant. Candidates should meet a minimum education requirement of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (including Mathematics and English Language) or equivalent, and should have a high level of literacy and excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates should also have Experience of managing and maintaining databases/spreadsheets, and experience of budgeting, raising invoices and purchase orders. The post holder must be efficient, organised, and have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
