The JRO is the Sponsor Office for University College London (UCL) and University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) sponsored clinical trials and clinical research studies. The role supports the compliance oversight of the Clinical Trials portfolio and conducts important QA activities such as auditing and monitoring as well as supporting SOP and QMS management. This is an open ended role.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a talented and motivated individual to join the JRO QA unit. This is an exciting time to join the QA team, as the successful candidate will support the continuous development and delivery programme of the QMS, specifically focussing on the CTIMP and Medical Device QA infrastructure under the direction of the senior QA leads. The post holder will support colleagues in the JRO and across other units, providing expert advice, monitoring and auditing, and maintaining oversight of regulatory and compliance matters.
The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of QA in clinical research, a strong aptitude in implementing IT and electronic systems, with effective organisational skills. You will also be pragmatic, methodical and have the proven ability to communicate effectively. Proven experience in research monitoring and conducting audits (or equivalent) is essential. The successful candidate will preferably have QA experience from working in an NHS, academic or commercial clinical research environment.
