The creation of a new city centre campus in Nottingham is an exciting opportunity that will deliver a number of the university’s ambitious, strategic goals. The Castle Meadow site is in the heart of Nottingham City Centre and extends to 9.24 acres, housing accommodation of approximately 350,000 square feet comprised of seven buildings. Conversion of this estate from predominately office accommodation into vibrant teaching, research, student support and wellbeing facilities is an ambitious challenge and one which will support the university’s commitment to the city’s ambitious target of becoming carbon neutral by 2028.
Castle Meadow Campus will give the University of Nottingham a landmark site to significantly increase our civic profile and directly support our new University strategy which seeks to address local challenges and deliver knowledge exchange of the highest quality, through application to local and global challenges.
This role will sit within the University’s Planning, Performance and Strategic Change (PPSC) directorate, reporting to the Director. PPSC brings together the planning and analytical functions of the University with strategic change and project and risk management to provide support to business planning, strategy, and governance processes. Being part of the PPSC directorate means that the Castle Meadow Campus Programme is at the heart of strategy setting and change across the University.
As Programme Director, you will oversee and coordinate all projects and workstreams across the Castle Meadow Campus Programme, spanning strategy, operations, and both physical and digital infrastructure. You will bring a successful track record of leading complex programmes/projects within a higher education or public sector enviroment and of driving forward change involving new buildings, facilities, or ways of working.
