About the Role
Joining a multi-award-winning department as FM Systems Manager you will lead the development, project management and implementation of Facilities Management ICT Systems alongside the data capture, analysis and interrogation of information produced through the utilisation of these systems. Driving the FM strategic ICT plan to meet business priorities you will support system owners in the management of these systems whilst liaising with stakeholders and suppliers to ensure effective system delivery and value for money.
You will ensure system data analysis informs decision making and lead a team which provides technical support to colleagues across FM and the wider University.
With experience and understanding of Facilities Management ICT systems (or similar systems) and of initiating and leading system change projects (desirably FM related) you will be customer-focussed and have ability to strategically lead, motivate, persuade and influence IT specialists, vendors, end users and customers to deliver the FM ICT strategy.
With excellent and effective communication skills and experience of planning activities and projects, working across organisational boundaries, you will have the ability to drive system development and motivate others to support and enhance student-facing business processes.
Experience of delivering technical based projects within Higher Education is desirable, as is experience with CAFM products. Experience of data analysis and sharing relevant insights to support change is essential.
You will benefit from 26 days annual leave plus 13 bank holiday and University closure days per annum. We aim to provide our staff with a positive work life balance and have a range of schemes in place to support this. Your continued professional development is as important to us as it is to you and we demonstrate this through our investment in your CPD activity.
You will be automatically enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme and have access to our staff benefits platform, which provides you with discounts across the high street to help you save money on your everyday spending such as supermarket shopping, cinema tickets, dining out and more. We also offer discounted membership to our state-of-the-art sport and leisure facilities.
You’ll be working for a multi award-winning institution that has been named Modern University of the Year in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022 and shortlisted for the overall UK University of the Year award. Edge Hill has also recently been awarded University of the Year in the Educate North Awards (2021) in recognition of our continued commitment to deliver an exceptional student experience and the exceptional progress we have made to deliver investment and innovation over the past 12 months, while placing students at the heart of everything we do.
The University has judged Best UK Employer (European Business Awards 2016) and highly commended in Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards 2017 for Workplace of the Year.
