About the Role
In this role you will provide professional support for all taught students in the School of Business and Management. You should have substantial relevant experience of working in a university environment and must have experience of dealing effectively with people face-to-face with a customer-oriented approach. A detailed understanding of student support issues in higher education is essential as well as the ability to work with tact and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive or confidential issues.

About You
The role requires high-level interpersonal skills including relationship building and the ability to work creatively with diverse teams and to communicate effectively using a range of media. You must be able to understand complex issues and problems and deliver practical solutions, working both independently and as part of a team.

About the School
The School of Business and Management at Queen Mary University of London seeks to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic individual for the post of Student Support Officer. The post focuses on student support and will be part of the Student Engagement team at the School of Business and Management. The post is based at the Mile End Campus and reports to the Student Engagement Manager.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a full-time, permanent appointment, with an expected start date of January 2022. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £34,733 - £40,797 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
