The School of Health and Care Professions, University of Portsmouth, is seeking to appoint a Teaching Fellow to support development and delivery of our undergraduate and postgraduate Social Work curriculum. The University of Portsmouth has a long history of teaching Social Work education. Our BSc (Hons) and MSc Social Work courses allow our students to be eligible for registration with Social Work England on successful completion of their studies. We have a commitment to innovative learning methodologies, including access to a range of simulation resources, including a flat and courtroom.
The School focuses on the development of high-quality teaching resources and effective facilitation of learning and student support. The Teaching Fellow role will include designing and delivering education and assessment, through blended learning. A commitment to the provision of a high-quality, student focused educational experience is important.
The successful candidate will be able to effectively articulate their contribution to developing Social Work practice with evidence of supporting learners in the field. This is a one-year fixed term role (or the early return of the substantive post holder) to cover a period of maternity leave.
Please note that up-to-date appropriate professional qualifications and current registration are a requirement of this role.
The University of Portsmouth believes this role may be eligible for sponsorship with UKVI under the Skilled Worker Route visa. Please familiarise yourself with the requirements set out before applying for this role. If you are unable to meet the requirements for sponsorship you will need to confirm details of an alternative visa to work in the UK when applying for this role.
As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons and all appointments will be made on merit. As we are committed to the principles of the Race Equality Charter Mark, we would particularly welcome applicants from Black, Asian, or from other ethnic groups who are currently under-represented at this level in this area.
