We are seeking to recruit a Senior Admissions Administration Assistant to a full-time vacancy in our Admissions team at the University of Wolverhampton. The Admissions team is based within the University’s Registry and is responsible for ensuring an efficient, responsive, and fair admissions process for applicants to the University, ensuring procedures are carried out in accordance with requirements of external bodies.

Senior Admissions Administration Assistant Role and Responsibilities

You will as part of Admissions Team be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of admissions administration are managed efficiently and effectively delivering an excellent level of customer service to students and all other customers. Additionally you will provide  specialist advice on the admissions and visa applications process for international students including those made under the Student Visa  immigration system

  • Respond to enquiries from applicants, academic and administrative colleagues, and other enquirers through a variety of sources
  • Input and maintain accurate and up-to-date records on SITS (database), extracting data and run reports
  • Ensure that International applicants hold the relevant documentation, qualifications and financial support, maintain accurate and up-to-date and accurate records across a number of systems
  • Keep updated of developments in immigration legislations and ensure required changes are operationalised effectively

Senior Admissions Administration Assistant Requirements

  • Commitment to fairness, inclusivity and the promotion of equality and diversity
  • Educated to a good standard, including a minimum of English Language or Maths at GCSE grade C
  • Demonstrable administrative experience including proficient use of office technology, including word processing, spreadsheets and email as well as experience of using a database
  • Experience of reporting data to external bodies
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of using SITS and eVision or a similar student management system, and other University reporting systems is essential
  • Experience of working within a regulatory framework to internal and external requirements (specifically UKVI Student Visa Compliance)
  • Experience of providing accurate and key information to contribute to decision-making processes
  • Experience of working with education agents or consultants
  • Good organisational capabilities and experience of work that involves the management of multiple tasks and deadlines
