The Centre for Networks and Enterprise Excellence in the School of Social Sciences at Heriot-Watt University intends to recruit one post-doc researcher. The post holder will:
The person we seek to appoint should demonstrate competence as a researcher and data scientist. We seek to further develop projects in network analysis and quantitative social science. The successful candidate should have experience with project writing in the UK and/or Europe, demonstrate project writing skills and a good understanding of challenges in research design. They should hold a PhD (or be close to submitting) in a cognate subject.
Our team currently works on a number of competitively funded projects on innovation and knowledge networks, the finance of industrial decarbonization and the syndication of venture capital among others. We look for a researcher that will be able to work in a team and help us develop our research questions into new projects. The researcher will join the network science lab of the Centre for Networks and Enterprise Excellence. She or he will be expected to work closely with other post-doc researchers and the PhD student members of the team. The post holder will have multiple co-authoring opportunities as well as research and administrative support.
This is a full time appointment, for 30 months in the first instance, to commence in February 2022 or as soon as possible thereafter. We will consider flexible working arrangements.
