Applications are invited for the above permanent, full-time post for which the post holder can choose to be based at either our Bangor or Wrexham campus.
We are looking for an ambitious and experienced professional to join the University and help us achieve search leadership in HE sector by writing, editing and creating content for the University website.
The successful candidate will need to have previous experience in a similar role and a proven track record creating and implementing successful search engine marketing and optimization strategies. The successful applicant will have an in-depth knowledge of technical and content-based SEO and the ability to define, implement, and report on search recommendations, to evidence the value of SEO. This post will have the responsibility for the development and management of a range of content on the Bangor University website from short content like meta descriptions to full pages dedicated to a particular search term. The role will be key in supporting the University in increasing its discoverability in search engines inside and outside of Wales, making it relevant for a Welsh, English, wider UK audience as well international audiences.
Candidates should be educated to degree standard (or equivalent) or have significant similar and relevant experience including previous experience in a content development role with evidence of significant positive impact on awareness and understanding of the brand.
You must be a confident communicator and a skilful writer, with good language, grammar and editing skills. You will be expected to write clear, accurate and engaging copy and be able to create multi-media content. You will also have an understanding of the website’s main target audiences.
The ability to communicate in Welsh is essential for this post.
