The School of Geography and Planning at Cardiff University seeks to appoint a Research Associate to work on a major international project called “FOODTRAILS– Building Pathways Towards FOOD2030-led urban food policies”, which is funded by the European Commission.
Working with 11 municipalities from across Europe, Living Labs will be established to develop urban food policies that address the four priority areas of the FOOD2030 European research framework - nutrition and healthy diets; climate and environment; circularity and resource efficiency; and innovation and empowerment of communities.
The Research Associate will contribute to the reviewing of urban food literatures, the interviewing of key stakeholders involved with the Living Labs, the development of urban food policies in the 11 municipalities, the formulation of recommendations to the EU and national and municipal governments for progressing systemic food change, and the production of academic outputs from the project.
The post is full time (35 hours), fixed term until 15 October 2024 and available immediately.
