The University is seeking a Lecturer in Education with STEM Specialism (R&T) within the School of Interdisciplinary Studies based in our Dumfries Campus.
The postholder will make a substantial and positive contribution to the strategic direction of the School of Interdisciplinary Studies through leading and contributing to research of international standard, high quality teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, securing research funding, and providing academic leadership and management within the School, and actively engage in relationships with external stakeholders that advance knowledge exchange, public understanding and outreach.
The successful candidate will have specialisation in any of the STEM subjects, and be able to create and deliver a broad range of education courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. They will have GTCS registration (or be eligible for registration) and will be required to carry out school visits and support students on school placements.
This post is on a full time (35 hrs per week), open ended basis.
