The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day and longer-term management of a portfolio of activities within the Kick-Starting Heritage Innovations project. The postholder will be responsible for leading on the planning and delivery of a high-quality suite of workshops, partnership development activities, and demonstrator projects (mainly in partnership with Blenheim Palace).

You will be required to develop and be parts of groups internally and externally within the academic and professional community of the University, and to liaise with a broad range of established and potential partners, institutions and organisations in the UK and international heritage sector. The postholder will need to be able to capture, process, and analyse a wide range of information and to work analytically with partners within and outside the University to create a programme of activity that will help deliver the against four overarching objectives: (1) to further develop and nurture a cross-disciplinary heritage innovation community within the University, building upon the existing activities of the Oxford University Heritage Network (OUHN) and Humanities Division’s Heritage Partnerships Team; (2) to establish strong innovation partnerships with the heritage industry; (3) to establish proof of concept models for innovation activities with Blenheim Palace and other partners; (4) to produce compelling communications, reports and business models to support further investment opportunities.

You will be educated to degree level, or equivalent relevant experience. This is an exciting and challenging role requiring excellent project management and organisational skills, significant professional experience of events and operations management, specialist understanding of the UK and international heritage and heritage science sectors, diplomatic people management skills, and strengths in building and maintaining relationships with academics and external cultural organisations. Working largely independently, you will need to relate well to staff at all levels.
