Applications are invited for the permanent post of Lecturer in Egyptology (teaching and scholarship), which is tenable from 1 August 2022.
You must have a PhD (or equivalent) in Egyptology along with an excellent level of competence in relevant fields including Egyptian language. You must have demonstrable teaching experience, both in-person and online, with the ability to design and deliver Egyptology units at all undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You must also have the ability to supervise independent projects and dissertations (including PhD students). You must have strong organisational skills, excellent interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and the ability to work collegially within a team. You will also contribute to administrative tasks for the Egyptology group and, where possible, for the wider Department, including participation in regular recruitment activities and staff-student events.
