The University is seeking to appoint a Recreation Assistant to join the University's Sports Service.
You will be responsible for supporting all areas of operation in the sports facilities and providing a high quality service to our varied customer and member base. You will provide assistance to users, Grounds Maintenance and Sports Centre staff in setting up the facilities ready for the full range of training, matches and event activities that take place in our Sports Centre and Sports Grounds.
You should be an effective communicator, with a 'can do' attitude and be motivated to ensure a good experience for customers, as well as good time management and organisational skills. A current First Aid qualification and knowledge of the safe, effective operation of sports facilities and activities would be an advantage, although training will be given.
Working hours will be varied and will include opportunities to work evenings and weekends within our varied programme of activities.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance.
