Working within the Digital & Technical Services Directorate, the role is responsible for providing a high quality, 2nd-line support service to end users for the University's IT systems and technical infrastructure, providing specialist technical expertise and advice in the provision of IT and Audio Visual services and support including, but not limited to, hardware, client software, business systems, infrastructure and network services.
The successful candidate will work actively as a hands-on member of the team while prioritising, planning, directing and supervising the work of 4 Desktop Support Technicians plus 2 Technical Specialists to make the best use of team resources, including providing an active contribution to technical resolutions and owning incidents personally, as appropriate.
