The School of Social Sciences, Oxford Brookes University wishes to appoint a permanent laboratory demonstrator (0.5 FTE) in Geography. We are seeking applicants wishing to join a motivated and committed team engaged in research informed teaching and fieldwork.

You should have experience of teaching and demonstrating in Higher Education, familiarity with procedures for field and laboratory-based research, and familiarity and compliance with (or willingness to develop) COSHH and risk assessment procedures. 

The successful candidate will be expected to provide technical support of laboratory and fieldwork teaching in Geography, and to undertake appropriate teaching, assessment, and student support related responsibilities. The post holder will also provide some technical and laboratory support to Anthropology.

Applicants must have a good honours degree. Preference may be given to candidates with a postgraduate degree.
