The British Museum is seeking a Scholarly Communications and Systems Librarian to work as a part of a team responsible for managing the Museum library collections and facilitating access for staff and external users. The postholder will be responsible for library systems including the development of the library management system, access to e-platforms and resources, and research repositories for publications and data. The Scholarly Communications Librarian will lead Open Access and Data Management compliance, providing training and support for Museum departments.

Person Specification:
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, preferably in librarianship or any subject followed by an accredited postgraduate qualification in information management. Candidates with work-based training and a CILIP qualification will also be considered.
We are looking for candidates with experience working in a large specialist library or heritage research collection, including support of a library management system or similar, cataloguing to RDA/AACR2 and MARC standards and implementing and supporting open access and data management services in either a university or research environment.
You will have excellent oral and written communication skills, along with good time management skills and the ability to work autonomously. A commitment to team working is crucial, and experience of line-management is desirable but not essential.
