Cambridge Judge Business School (CJBS) has around 80 faculty, 400 professional staff, approximately 1000 students and a large number of executive education participants. CJBS is a highly ranked global business school, situated within one of the world's most prestigious research universities, and in the heart of the Cambridge Cluster, the most successful technology entrepreneurship cluster in Europe. 

The Assistant to the Director of Operations and Finance is a varied and busy support role, providing administrative support to the Director of Operations and Finance and reports to them. The role holder is responsible for implementing and overseeing administrative procedures in support of the Director, ensuring the efficient and effective management of time and workflow. The role holder also provides administrative support for central activities and to other senior staff at CJBS. The role holder will work closely with the PA to the CJBS Dean along with other key individuals in the Operations team in an open and collaborative environment. 

The main focuses of the role include diary and travel management, acting as Secretary to several School-wide committees, maintaining records for School-wide initiatives and projects (such as the School's Risk Register), undertaking research and ad-hoc analysis and providing additional support to the Dean's PA, as required.

The successful candidate will have previous experience of providing administrative support at a senior level including PA duties, basic budgeting and event management skills. You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including good writing skills in order to act as Secretary to several School-wide committees. The successful candidate will also need to have experience in using MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and have experience in conducting basic level of research and analysis. 

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, well-organised with a high degree of initiative and ability to plan, able to work with others across all levels of the organisation and use own initiative to manage conflicting priorities. The successful candidate will have a professional manner, be well-organised and passionate about providing the highest level of support, and is someone who loves to be busy and welcomes a challenge as this can be a varied role and will give the right person amazing job satisfaction.
