The Marketing and Communications Directorate is responsible for raising the awareness and reputation of Queen Mary among its target audience, and for increasing the quality and quantity of Queen Mary applicants.
We are recruiting to the role of Student Recruitment and Widening Participation (WP) Senior Officer (Programmes). The purpose of the role is to support the Student Recruitment and WP team in delivering the University’s 2030 Strategy, with a focus on the relevant recruitment and widening participation objectives. The Student Recruitment and WP Senior Officer (Programmes) will work closely with the Student Recruitment and WP Manager to deliver successful long-term access programmes, outreach, and widening participation, as well as supporting the recruitment of students under-represented at Queen Mary.
The post holder will primarily be responsible for delivering the University’s flagship Access to Queen Mary programme, including marketing and recruitment as well as planning and delivery of associated events and activities. The post holder will also work closely with Queen Mary’s Student Ambassadors to ensure effective delivery of the outreach curriculum with parents, teachers and supporters, alongside key schools and colleges. They will work with colleagues to support the Enquiry Management function, and to support the delivery of key recruitment events and activities, including Open Days and Offer Holder Days.
Based in Mile End with an immediate start. The post is full-time and fixed-term for 1 year. Starting salary will be £34,733 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
