Solent University’s research, knowledge exchange and teaching respond to the challenges our society faces. Our aim is to positively impact our local and global communities in ways that make a sustainable difference environmentally, socially, culturally and economically.
The role of Research and Knowledge Exchange Ethics & Integrity, Compliance & Impact Officer is pivotal to supporting this aim. It involves providing support to the Research & Knowledge Exchange (RKE) and Ethics & Integrity Management Teams in building proactive administrative support for the University’s ethics and integrity systems, policies and processes. The postholder will also work closely with Solent’s RKE Leads in support of their identification, development and capture of research impact (as defined by the Research Excellence Framework 2021). The role will make an important contribution to our efforts to create a forward-thinking academic community, known for its knowledge creation, problem solving, inclusivity, equality and diversity and will support the delivery of the Solent University R&KE Enabling Strategy 2025.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an up-to-date knowledge of external sectoral developments. With a background in academia and/or higher education professional support services, or equivalent industry experience you will be a skilled communicator who is familiar with ensuring that internal policies and procedures are applied and regularly reviewed for currency.
