The Oxford School of Global and Area Studies (OSGA), in association with the Russian and East European Studies (REES) programme and St Antony’s College, propose to appoint an Associate Professor in the Economies of Russia, Eastern Europe, and Eurasia.
The Oxford School of Global and Area Studies (OSGA) is one of the fifteen constituent parts of the Social Sciences Division at Oxford. It represents a commitment by the University to enhancing teaching and research in Area Studies.
About the Role:
The post is offered on a full-time basis, available from 1 January 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter. Appointments to Associate Professorships are confirmed as permanent on successful completion of a review during the first five years.
The post will be held in conjunction with a Governing Body Fellowship at St Antony’s College, and the post-holder will be a Fellow of the College’s Russian and Eurasian Studies Centre and a trustee of the College. They will play a role in the College including advising students, serving on committees, participating in its running and to the running and development of the Russian and Eurasian Studies Centre of St Antony’s College.
The successful candidate will be expected to engage actively in research and to contribute through world-class publications to the department’s and University's international reputation for research excellence. Further responsibilities include teaching and supervising at the graduate level, contributing to administration and examining, and acting as a College Adviser for graduate students.
The post-holder will have a room for teaching and research in St Antony’s College.
