Applications are invited for this four-year, part-time post (two days per week) working in the Centre for Health Economics and Medicines Evaluation.
Duties will include:
The post will promote social care economics as a distinct and developing sub-discipline of economics. It will involve undertaking applied economic evaluation and mixed methods analysis to support research across social care, public health, and wellbeing. This includes the design and delivery of cost-effectiveness, cost-consequence, cost-utility, and value-for-money analyses. The role will also contribute to grant capture, the preparation of reports, academic publications, and policy-facing outputs.
Candidates should be educated to PhD level (or equivalent) in health economics, social policy, public health, economics, or a closely related discipline. Applicants should have experience of qualitative research, applied mixed methods analysis, and economic evaluation within health and/or social care settings. Experience of working with real-world service data and translating findings for policy and practice audiences is essential.
A core element of the role is a strong commitment to developing and applying mixed-methods analytical approaches within social care economics, underpinned by collaborative working across multi-disciplinary teams and services.
The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible.
The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.
This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
Applications will only be accepted via our on-line recruitment website, jobs.bangor.ac.uk. However, in cases of access issues due to disability, paper application forms are available by telephoning 01248 383865.
