The Health Economics Group at the Norwich Medical School, University of East Anglia is one of the largest academic groups in health economics in the East of England, having established itself in the mid-1990s. The group seeks to expand with the recruitment of an additional full-time post (although applications from those wishing to work part-time or as a job share will be considered), at Lecturer or Associate Professor level, to contribute to the Group’s research and teaching profile. The successful candidate will be willing to take a leadership role commensurate with experience and to teach on our Master of Science in Health Economics to ensure the course thrives as a flagship postgraduate course for the Norwich Medical School.
You will contribute to world-leading health economics research and educate health economics, medical and other students at an undergraduate and postgraduate level. Candidates with interests in any aspect of health economics are welcome, although candidates with expertise in health econometrics, discrete choice methodology, or decision analytic modelling for economic evaluation in health technology assessment are particularly encouraged to apply.
You will hold a good first degree in economics, a related quantitative subject, or a relevant health-related degree and good postgraduate qualification with substantial health economics components. You will preferably have prior experience of teaching within higher education, you should be able to contribute to teaching and learning at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate level.
As a member of the Health Economics Group within the Norwich Medical School you will have opportunity to grow research collaborations at UEA and beyond; advance your skills, knowledge and experience; as well as develop the next generation of health economists.
The post is available immediately on a full-time, indefinite basis.
